Facebook Feeds, Like Button, and Comments

A Facebook feed is a great way to give your visitors a glimpse into your Facebook community, invite them to join your followers or prompt them to contact you via Facebook Messenger.

In order for your page’s feed to be displayed, the page must not be restricted. Any restriction, for example, login required, age or location, will prevent the page from being displayed in the widget. To learn more about Facebook page restrictions, see Facebook’s guide.

To add the widget:

  1. In the left panel, click Widgets.
  2. Click and drag the Facebook Feed widget into your site.

Content Editor

To access the content editor:

  1. Right-click the widget, and click Edit Content.
  2. Type the Facebook Page URL in the field provided. You do not have to paste the entire link (for example, https://www.facebook.com/facebook). The page ID is enough (for example, Facebook). The URL must be for a Facebook page, not a Facebook Group.
  3. Click to enable a Large HeaderCover photo, and Friend's faces.
  4. Select which tabs you want to display: TimelineEventsMessages.

Design Editor

To access the design editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Design. Click to change the width and height of the Facebook Feed.

Troubleshooting

The Facebook Feed is not displaying when I use Safari on iPhone.

If you're not seeing a Facebook related widget on your site or editor in Safari, this is due to changes with Facebook and Safari. Safari has added a 3rd party prevention switch that affects advertisers like Facebook. This is not something Website Builder has control over and we are not able to fix it.

If the Facebook Feed is not displaying on another browser, this is due to Facebook changes that require you to be logged into Facebook to view Facebook related content. To fix this, open a new tab, then log into Facebook and refresh the page.

Facebook Like Button

Make it easy for your visitors to see your likes and like you on Facebook by adding a Facebook Like button. Become more connected with your customers and visitors through social media.

  • The Facebook Like button will not appear for users who are not logged in to Facebook.
  • Make sure the page is public, otherwise the functionality will not work.

To add the Facebook Like widget:

  1. In the left panel, click Widgets.
  2. Click and drag the Facebook Like widget into your site.

Content Editor

To access the content editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Content.

Type the URL to like in the field provided. This is the URL of the Facebook page you want to use on your site.

Design Editor

To access the design editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Design.

Facebook Comments

The Facebook Comments widget enables visitors to leave comments on your site using Facebook. Comments can promote interest and discussion on your site and give visitors insight into what other visitors think of your service or product.

To add the Facebook Comments widget to your site:

  1. In the left panel, click Widgets.
  2. Click and drag the Facebook Comments widget into your site.

Once the widget is added to your site, you can further configure it through Facebook. For more information, see Comments.

Design Editor

To access the design editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Design.

Select Light or Dark for the color scheme to customize the appearance of the widget.
